About pooram& vela..
Pooram means a group or a meeting.It was believed dat every year dynastic gods& goddesses met together 4 a day of celebrations.the gods n their entourage arrived 4 d meeting on colorfully decorated tuskers. some of d main pooram celebration are at arattupuzha, thrissur, uthralikavu,cheeramkulangara , etc..Vela is usually celebrated in the temples of devi( mother goddess).popular vela celebration are at nenmmara and kannamdra
